The SEI predicts important life and workplace outcomes. Scores on the SEI predict 54.79% of a combination of Quality of Life, Relationship Effectiveness, Health, and Personal Effectiveness (based on forward stepwise regression against self-reported outcomes, see the white paper on 6seconds.org "Emotional Intelligence and Performance").

SEI is delivered online or on paper, available in English, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Indonesian, and other languages pending. With 104 items, two self-correcting indices, a consistency scale, and 12 different normed scales, the SEI is a rigorous psychometric assessment.
The SEI was developed and researched through an international organization with offices in Europe, North America, and Asia. The test measures eight fundamentals of EQ, including emotional literacy, emotional management, and empathy.
